Who We Are

Wells Petroleum & Engineering Limited is limited liability company that engages in oil and gas, energy infrastructure projects in the downstream. The purpose for this business briefing is to present our petroleum business concept/idea to potential investor(s) who will be ready and willing to invest in the business. Having worked with several oil marketing companies over the years, we have been endowed with enormous experience and have been exposed to the dynamics of the downstream sector. We are therefore ready and willing to water down those experiences in implementing a business concept which we have termed the “Wells Concept”.

The business concept focuses on the downstream sector and involves the following:

1.Construction of 400,000MT Petroleum Storage Tank Farm

2.Bulk Importation and Distribution of Refined Petroleum Products (BDC)

3.Oil Marketing (Acquisition/Lease and Operation of Fuel Filling Stations)

4.Fuel haulage to local market and neighboring countries (Fuel tanker operation)

5.Fuel Export to neighboring landlocked countries such as Burkina Faso, Mali, etc.

The downstream sector in Ghana is competitive and lucrative as well for companies who have well managed the business over the years. Wells Petroleum seeks to stand out from existing competition by employing a different business model from what prevails within the current market. The investment in the “Wells Concept” will involve capital injection of about USD524,000,000.00. The financial projections reveal the investment is viable with good returns on investment.

FORTUNE NORRIS KOFI ADDOR

BOARD CHAIRMAN

Fortune is a self-motivated business executive with over 25 years experience in general business consulting, project management and financial engineering.He took on the challenge of the corporate world and has played various roles in trade finance particularly Oil and Gas and in commodities in general. He enters this esoteric world of high finance from the military and intelligent operations perspective. He has proven ability to achieve and exceed all targets and business developments goals in a highly pressurized environment with a reputation for advancing effective business development campaigns, leveraging personal strengths, and expertly maintaining client relationships.

Fortune has equally proven leadership and team building skills coupled with comprehensive knowledge of and experience in leveraging numerous financial instruments in a variety of complex scenarios. He worked as a Business Development Consultant and a Management Consultant for Norris Hill & Partners Limited.

He holds an International Diploma in Computing Information Studies from London Guildhall University and a Diploma (Public Administration), BA (Public Administration) all from GIMPA and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Leicester (UK) and an MPhil in Industrial Finance and Investments from the KNUST.

Kofi is an executive director of Wells Petroleum & Engineering Limited. He plays a dual role of overseeing the activities of the company and further ensures the implementation of strategic objectives of the company. He believes that success isn’t always about greatness, but it is about consistency.

JOSEPH G. MENSAH (B.COM/ACCA/MBA)

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Mr. Mensah is a business magnate with over 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas space. Having worked with several Oil and Gas companies in Ghana and other West African Countries as an accountant, general manager and managing director, He formed Wells Petroleum & Engineering Limited to bring to bear his rich experience and expertise in forming a conglomerate of oil & gas entity that touches on every facet of the value chain in the downstream.

At Wells Petroleum Limited, Joseph brings onboard his rich knowledge and experience in Financial Management to bear towards achieving the company’s financial objectives. Together with my team, we are very positive the company will become a household name in the downstream in the nearest future.

NANA ADOMAKO KUFFOUR (MBA, MPHIL, B.A)

BOARD MEMBER

Nana is a self-motivated business executive with over 13 years Investment Banking experience. Nana took on the challenge of the corporate world and has played various roles in trade finance particularly Oil and Gas and in commodities in general.

He enters this esoteric world of high finance from the military and intelligent operations perspective. Having worked as attaché to the office of the president from 2002 to 2009, as a permanent member of the revenue agencies governing body, Head of the Economic & Financial Intelligence Unit as well as monitoring financial traffic at the anti-money laundering unit.

He has proven ability to achieve and exceed all targets and business developments goals in a highly pressurized environment with a reputation for advancing effective business development campaigns, leveraging personal strengths, and expertly maintaining client relationships. Nana has equally proven leadership and team building skills coupled with comprehensive knowledge of and experience in leveraging numerous financial instruments in a variety of complex scenarios. He also worked as a Business Development Consultant and a Management Consultant for Sight for Africa (NGO) for 5 years. He holds an International Diploma in Computing Information Studies from London Guildhall University and a Diploma (Public Administration), BA (Public Administration) all from GIMPA and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Leicester (UK) and an MPhil in Industrial Finance and Investments from the KNUST.

Nana is the board chairman and executive director of Sitra Energy Limited. He plays a dual role of overseeing the activities of the board and further ensures the implementation of strategic objectives of the company. MOHAMMED JAMAL ABDULAI (MBA, BSC)

BOARD MEMBER

Mohammed Jamal Abdulai is an energy and business development expert. He is the Managing Director of Sitra Energy Limited, one of the prospective and fast-rising oil marketing companies in Ghana. He holds an MBA with specialization in Finance from the University of Cape Coast and has over a decade of experience in the downstream oil sector.

He began his career as a station supervisor at Unique Oil in the year 2005 and worked for a period of five years before proceeding to AP Oil and Gas Ghana Limited as a station manager in 2010. While at AP oil and Gas, by dint of hard work and dedication, he was promoted to the position of zonal operations officer for a period of two years.

In 2017, he was employed by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) as Depot Officer under the UPPF Monitoring Scheme for a period of three years. In 2020, he was engaged by Santol Energy Limited as Operations Manager overseeing the activities of the various filling stations across the country. In 2021, he was engaged as a consultant to Viggo Energy and Yass Petroleum and has served in that capacity to date. He is a founding member as well as board member of Yass Petroleum Limited.
Overall Jamal’s experience and learning journey has built him into a consummate professional with an entrepreneurial mindset who is committed to building Sitra Energy to become one of the vibrant oil marketing companies in the country. As a managing director, he exercises oversight responsibility of day-to-day activities to ensure that they fall in line with the overall objectives of the company.

BAWA ABDALLAH ABUBAKARI (B.COM)

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Bawa is the director in charge of operations at Sitra Energy. He is dedicated and committed professional who has enormous experience in the operations of oil marketing business. Prior to joining the company, he worked at Dukes Petroleum as Liaison Officer at the Kumasi depot from January 2013 to December 2014. He was promoted to the position of Internal Auditor at the same company from December 2014 to December 2015.

From January 2016 to April 2020, He worked as a dealer and operations manager for Blanko Oil Company Limited. Between 2015 and 2016 he served as part-time finance manager for Hossana Oil Company Limited. From April 2020 to date, he has served as the Northern Regional Manager for Sitra Energy Limited and further serves as board member for Yass Petroleum Limited. With over 15 years of experience and exposure in the downstream, Bawa is focused on contributing his quota toward building the Sitra brand into becoming a fully-fledged licensed oil marketing company in Ghana. He is a founding member as well as board member of Yass Petroleum Limited.
